In the immediate vicinity of the fluorite deposit there was prospecting and probably also small-scale mining of polymetallic ores with silver already in the 16th century. The terrain still preserves faint remains of adits and heaps. Also in the area of the fluorspar mine from 1957, where the first deposit was discovered in 1953, you will find German inscriptions on the facade of an older building, so it too will be older than the date of the start of fluorspar mining. After the extraction of about 690,000 tonnes of ore, the two mines were closed in 1994 and the area of the first mine was rehabilitated. In the second one you will find today, apart from a few odds and ends in the workshops, only discarded sacks of sheep's wool or Mindu.
