Station with cross-border traffic interrupted in 1945. The station building from 1885 (in the same year, the wife of the President of the Builder Dr. Edvard Beneš, Mrs. Hana Benešová, was born in the guard house No. 118) with an area of more than 1,600 square metres used to provide railway, customs, postal, telegraphic and police services on the Czech-German border. It was quite an important station, once it had 11 continuous and 5 handling tracks, 34 switches, various warehouses, a waterworks, a loading ramp, a stacking yard, two turntables. In addition to the Czech and German dispatchers, (one of our famous writers served there in 1938) there was a customs and passport office, a restaurant and a post office. Today the abandoned building, fronted by the pillars of the cable car to build the dam, the warehouse burnt down, the ramps cut off by the downed switches whose signals make it clear you are in the mountains, the turntables at the depot holes in the ground, opposite the ruins of the staff house, meadow flowers instead of track and, like a gateway to another world, a road bridge on the Saxon headland, still stained by steam locomotives, which also left a waterworks and a 220-metre-long platform remembering the direct trains from Prague.
Šlo o docela významné nádraží, kdysi tam měli 11 průběžných a 5 manipulačních kolejí, 34 výhybek, různá skladiště, vodárnu, nakládací rampu, složiště, dvě točny. Vedle českých a německých výpravčích, (pohnutého roku 1938 tu sloužil jeden z našich slavných spisovatelů) sídlil celní a pasový úřad a také restaurace a pošta.
