Vanad

In the former metalworks were also built plants for the production of steel blasting agents by granulation of molten steel waste or safety-intensive aluminothermic production. Oxygen had to be reduced from the feedstock, vanadium or nickel oxide, by burning aluminium. The product was alloying additives for steel production (e.g. ferrovanadium). Furthermore, insulating and exothermic materials or aluminium granules were produced here - liquid aluminium was injected into the water bath. Here you can see the daily bins of the lump plant and also the vanadium ones.
