Probably the only urbex where every time you come you find something new...even if it's old. It's the place where our "railway history" stands, legend next to legend. I stop by once every five years, so I thought I'd post a sequel here for comparison. Amongst the museum exhibits such as freight cars, tenders of steam locomotives still from post-war UNNRA deliveries, express cars of all sorts of destinations, locomotives awaited their final journey here. Probably the only urbex where every time you come you find something new...even if it's old. It's the place where our "railway history" stands, legend next to legend. I stop by once every five years, so I thought I'd post a sequel here for comparison. Amongst the museum exhibits such as freight cars, tenders of steam locomotives still from post-war UNNRA deliveries, express cars of all sorts of destinations, locomotives awaited their final journey here. For example, an iron in the company of the familiar perching machines from the past. Only 99 still has its cabs. There is also a legend of the electrification of our railways - the bobbin. In the hall, the 310.922 class steam locomotive was waiting for its repair (hopefully it will finally get it this year). Two legends of commuter trains, the tornado and the iconic frog-trains, stood side by side. In the company of another local stalwart, the Hector, there sadly stand convoys of bardettes that have largely arrived here under their own power after their forced retirement. Beside them were a trio of bangles, a scrappy brawler at the very back, and two others just leaving this world on the last leg of their lives. The company of the 120-foot coal dumps of the coal crane was also varied, with working machinery standing around and one even containing a boiler from a steam locomotive. Probably a seven. On the way back to the station a hare still peeped out and a water crane reminded the steam operation at the platform.
Asi jediný urbex, kde pokaždé když přijedete, najdete něco nového...i když starého. Je to místo, kde postávají naše "železniční dějiny", legenda vedle legendy. Jednou za pět let se tu zastavím, tak mě napadlo dát sem pro srovnání pokračování. Mezi muzejními exponáty, jako jsou nákladní vozy, tendry parních lokomotiv ještě z poválečných dodávek UNNRA, rychlíkovými vozy všech možných druhů určení tu čekaly na svou poslední cestu i lokomotivy. Třeba žehlička ve společnosti nám už z minula známých peršingů. Jen 99-ka má ještě své kabiny. Je tu i legenda elektrifikace našich železnic - bobina. V hale čekala na svou opravu parnička řady 310.922 (snad se jí letos konečně dočká). Vedle sebe tu postávaly dvě legendy příměstských vlaků, panťáky tornáda a ikonické žabotlamy. Ve společnosti další zdejší stálice hektora, tu smutně stojí konvoje bardotek, které sem z velké části po svém nuceném odchodu do důchodu, dojely vlastní silou. Vedle nich bylo trio banglí, úplně vzadu vybrakovaný brejlovec a dva další právě opouštěli tento svět na poslední koleji jejich života. Pestrá byla i společnost 120-ti metrových skládek uhlí zauhlovacího jeřábu, kde postávaly pracovní stroje a v jedné z nich byl uložený dokonce kotel z parní lokomotivy. Nejspíš sedmy. Cestou zpět na nádraží ještě vykoukl zajíc a u perónu připomenul parní provoz vodní jeřáb.
