In 1999 it was also 42. PLRB was abolished and the remaining PLROs were transferred to the subordination of the 44th PLRB. PLRB Slaný-Drnov. It also ceased to exist on 31 May 2003, and with it all PVOS systems became history after 44 years of active service.
On 1 October 2005, the building was handed over to the administration of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and a part of the premises was subsequently converted into a prison.
V roce 1999 byla i 42. PLRB zrušena a zbývající PLRO byly předány do podřízenosti 44. PLRB Slaný–Drnov. I tato zanikla, k 31. 5. 2003, a s ní se po 44 letech aktivní služby staly historií i všechny systémy PVOS.
Dne 1. října 2005 došlo k předání objektu do správy Vězeňské služby ČR a následné přestavbě části areálu na věznici
